FOSA board meeting - October 16, 2019 - 20191016_112846~2.mp4 The admin remodel is going very well and quite intense the whole building is under attack there was some major construction issues with the south side of the bull side room that we're dealing with that were unforeseen but my general contractor has mechanisms to make it work I think we're still on schedule we're still looking for December 1st as a potential opening for the building if that falls a little later which you would be normal in a construction process we'll deal with it but for right now we're still going to make our plans based on is going to be in presentation format in November and we will try to squeeze in that community presentation if we can find spots on Heather's schedule so that everybody can be updated on the drainage issues that are being addressed in fountains of the Sun by our civil engineer that will hold them which I headed the committee back in 2018 made a number of presentations at this point with the October 6 meeting coming up with Wendy Holtzman we're going to use that as a launch date for looking from ground to ground routes to rebuild the master plan I am suggesting that that be moved to the long range planning committee as part of their duties the board will be addressing this in the workshop next month and we'll make the best determination how to move forward on the master plan and that would be after the Holtzman report which is open to the community on October 6 apologize for all of those people that have used the concept of the master plan and used it to scare residents about things that were being looked at studied for the future and not meant to be something that they had to confront and today it's time it was a period of time over which we would look to provide for the future community when we read ress it I hope it's looked at more favorably and more honestly but those of you who are afraid of this board making some movement towards spending significant amounts of dollars you study the 2015 study all us tools and guidelines the I think that's it so we didn't have a conference call the other night too because we were just catching up with there's been a lot of stuff happening in this community since the merger and when your committees start up again in September sometimes it takes a little bit of catch-up so we had a conference call yesterday about the draft charter and we're just thumbs up we know long-range planning is secondary that's not our primary function it's activity chair activity but we're really thumbs up on that and we do the committee does have some questions just for clarity and those would those will be passed through to the board and to the activity committee it's a violation of our governing documents this includes door-to-door solicitation along with leaving flyers or business cards on mailboxes fence post doors fence posts wherever you can find a place to put on when we come across those we do remove them so if you do see somebody soliciting please contact us so we can address the problem right away so it doesn't get out of hand but we're gonna take it down anyway when we visit that prudence says that we as a board have a fiduciary responsibility to be looking into the future and that's that's why these plans are looked at but they're just that there's they're not they're not approval nothing nothing was ever approved on that nothing was even you know the meetings so that should be an indicator that that plan was just that it was a plan that was on the website that never been voted or group you've had mine please how many to come in the front gate notice the rope pozole box five to seven six eight Mesa since June 2018 the cost of our disposal piece of twenty dollars and eighty-five cents it looks as if there isn't applicants have served in there to to committee the applications are to reconcile with therefore we will start I understand and will be flashing it on the board so if you
