KFA June 3 2019 video transcript initial draft: 

We are asking people to go to their neighbors door-to-door first. 
And we are going to create more mailing labels to the addresses for 
people who aren't here to just keep building our database of members
so that at some point we will have the number of people who sign their 
name as members of Keep Fountain of the Sun Affordable. This builds 
our membership and at some point in time all of those people will 
need to sign another document, probably. 

There is nothing official about what we are signing now. It is just getting members to say I am in sign the petition will be able to provide a list of the names and addresses and see of people who have signed to the faucet board to say this is our growing membership list of people who are supported and I am going to reach something now very good questions by the lounge all right I have a different version of the document that some people already signed it doesn't matter because all we're trying to do is get people who are saying I am with you that's so this new document is shorter is just at the top and there's room for 20 lines on a page so everybody can take one of these and get as many people to sign as they can we're just accumulating all of this this is the way this will reach

and it probably needs to be improved also we the people as dues and assessment paying property owners in fountain of the sons community do hereby request and assert that we should have equal rights to constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech and freedom of assembly plus freedom of access to reserve and use fountain of the son common area facilities equal to that which any and all other groups in fountain of the son do have I further hereby request to have my name address and signature added as a supporting member of cafe keep thumbs of the son affordable coalition's and I have firmly and the tests that I endorse the KF a coalition mission and objectives as published at the freedom of speech website as for calm I further attest and affirm that the KF d coalition is an entirely non-political coalition of like-minded bottom of the son homeowners and then there's a place for street address please sign name legibly signature and on this one email address because unless we have email addresses we're very limited in how we can communicate to people and update them if they don't have it says email address or phone number so we have Helen has been helping put together a calling list so that we can call people who do not have internet access and don't have email but our best way of communicating with people is quite email so I'll have I printed out 14 of these so I can print more of them you can print them I'll put it on the plus form website so that anybody can download it and print it and collect signatures again to clarify nothing that we're collecting now has any official weight all it is is a collection of addresses and signatures of people who say I affirm and attest 

I endorse the KFA mission and objectives that's all alright next person to speak please now here's the thing sand and I are going to be done in July in August I know a lot of you folks will be visiting it here and in and out I'll come to meeting every week if you want to it I mean if they have one but I am wondering if as we're getting into July and August maybe we might cut down you know maybe one a month or whatever we decide to do I am just wondering it is getting a little warm and a lot of us are going to be out an out of state coming back back and forth and I am probably September I am really not going to get a whole lot of show me and a lot of showing is what we need and then the other thing is and it was partially answered it is wandering the mail out the lead mail now and other people have mailed out to mail back in we have got some response of that the response we have gotten but it is just I thought about maybe maybe one meeting a month okay yeah several people have suggested that and so I think what we'll do this will be our month our meeting for June but I think what we might also do because a lot of people would like to stay in touch so we'll have a informal gathering maybe at birdies or maybe at some other place for anybody who would like to just for a conversation we won't video record we won't have an agenda we won't do anything other than just we can get together as friends and conversation but because a lot of people would like to have two meetings a month I think a lot of people would like to have one a month during the summer so we'll have one meeting and one informal gathering how's that sound

hello everybody I am Helen Driggers and so glad to see all of you here tonight this afternoon this evening I would like to stress that when you put your phone number on your phones please make sure they are correct I had I think it was five people I've had to call three of those numbers were not right some were disconnected at the request of the owner some were disconnected period and some were incorrect I gave my phone number to a very close friend of mine that was vesting from California last month he tried to call me after he left on his way back home my I gave him the wrong number he found me anyway but it is easy to do and I've had this phone numbers up for 19 years and I gave me long them make sure you write the right number down on the paper because otherwise we can't get in touch [Music] yeah I know like you it is an open-door policy well I see this as part of the problem issues of observe I have a balance issue to be leaning against something and I have a hearing issue so that's why I need other people to volunteer as moderators because I don't hear much of what's in so I am just kind of winging it so I hope some of you will help in moderating so I don't fall down an embarrassment 

how many sets of letters do you need to be sent out or how many have you already had send out we've said 110 108 letters so far well actually 98 because I just gave somebody 10 more tonight who is going to send those and it takes time for people to respond but we will what we were doing with those letters is we were sending letters to people for whom we have their name and address as supportive of PFA but we don't have a questionnaire from them we don't have an email address for them so that's what we wanted to get to those first now we'll start working through the public available address addresses by the way should we enclose the we the people document in those letters now that's a good idea because we have to the two separate documents the questionnaire which is important because it allows people to to express their opinion on those things and we publish the summary of results and then we have the the we the people document which is to collect signatures yes it would be nice if we had done the questionnaire so there was a place for signatures but we didn't and we're trying to keep everything consistent so there's two to certain documents okay next person to speak I could send out and we've got some people we're doing a lot of the work and a lot of people have pitched in and are helping that so one more item open the door the this is the signup sheet for the KF a quick response team we're going to if no one objects change that name to KF a counsel because the the idea is with a master database and our email list we try to only send one or two emails a month a meeting announcement such as for tonight's meeting 

and if there's any major issue that everybody would like to be aware of such as a meeting follow-up or we would tell them what fee the address is for the video recording of the meetings things of that nature the idea behind the quick response team we don't have any officers and I don't think we want any officers we want everybody to be equal so people who would sign up on the quick response team or kfb council would simply be people who are willing to have an occasional additional email to ask for their input or suggestions of what have you we might send that out for instance to folks for an informal gathering at the second [Music] regular meeting and other things also with the with the kf8 council nearly everybody who is on that we'd like to have someone who would say I would be a spokesman for KF a because like I say I am not I am not able to keep doing this and we need other people to be part of what you might call leadership Kol equal leaders no rank or importance just people who signed us so anybody who's not already on the quick response team or the kf8 Council we'd like to have everybody in KF a to be on that but we know that some people I had have had one person who said please take my name off of the quick response team but I want to stay on the regular mailing list and there will be people who say enough is enough and others who are willing to help so if you have not yet signed up for the quick response or council please sign up tonight and ask anybody else who would be willing to do that 

and everybody who was on that as part of quote-unquote leadership and from among those we hope that some people will say I am willing to be a spokesman I know Marsh's our spokesman Helen's a spokesperson and I am not going to be frankly because I am too visible and I am trying to become invisible all right but we also would like to speak any issues I have a question was i given 20 cards 20 letters just mail was not given 20 was I've given 20 envelopes to mail no I've just found a list of pommy addresses in my box that I did not send so evidently I am seeing somebody either anyway I couldn't get those in email there'll be a lot more to do a lot more to do okay so any other speakers tonight we talked to a couple of gals tonight that we just cornered over there and we said are you going to our meeting and they said no what meeting so we explained to them and they stole we heard there was something going on like that but we didn't get any contact so we make sure we passed our paperwork and so any any opportunity you have guys to speak to somebody anybody to get everyone they don't know what exactly we were about just that we were out and about so we let them know what you're all about giving them some paperwork to fill out so they're going to and they're supportive so don't be afraid I had printed up a whole bunch of little three by five stars sized sheets with the address for the YouTube videos and I don't know what became of them did I pass them out it disappeared no okay I'll keep looking while was the next speaker is speaking

we need to really really start paying attention to people who can fill the board we're going to have two members that are going to come up we need to fill those with people who are like thinkers who will go through and read instead of just saying me to in their voting you know I'll go through and bring up the points that are are objectionable and I think we really need to bloom somebody that's willing to go through that process and we need a luncheon lunch on we just need a whole bunch so that we have choice and filled it more with like-minded people but we do have one or maybe even two right now on the board and we need to fill those spaces because the one is going to be leaving the one person that's you're holding a say are on the board she's only got on for one year so she'll be moving on and we need to replace her on that note I have a question because I am not even sure like right now the president and the vice president how long are their terms for three years they each get three years so they got how many years when they were on the last board so we basically got the President and the Vice President have been on the board for already three years now there would be another three years

different committees but now I am not sure but what is now but I don't believe he was on the board before I don't think so either he was done at the end this time yeah that's what I've heard I've heard he was on the by support I guess we'd have to go back and look in our telephone books does anybody here have any idea hmm attorney I wish to speak to them he never would call me back they would always say leave a message I call me and then we got the word that he cannot speak to any of us because I only speak to the board because right he works he just likes to spend our money but he can talk to them and no no okay so we have to have a limit okay so my part we need to find outside the border in let's see we're 2019 I would like to know what the expected amount is to be for that attorney for 2019 and I would like to know how much we pay that attorney in 18 17 and 16 now I don't know am I crazy or is that something that we should be able to know yes let me speak to them this is one of the things that more people need to do is write a letter to the fossa board asking them a specific question and therefore if you write the letter and send me a copy of it to a clerk at gmail I'll post it on the forum website and we'll say this letter was submitted by this person at this date and we're waiting for a response this way everybody in the community has equal access to ask any question 

I remember Jerry Favaro said at the meeting if you want to know what the truth is ask the board and we will answer so he said he would answer let's see if he'll answer he or the board in the main they passed this off to John Miller to respond but we need to ask specific questions and get and request politely specific answers to those questions okay so it probably wouldn't be no good to go to the next board meeting and ask that question I should do it anyway ting instead maybe I should do it in writing before the board meeting and then we need to have a documented trail a doc documentation of whatever the issues are or the concerns are write the letter send it by mail you may not have as much success by email and you have to address it to the board at the address at the admin building and with your name and address and signature asking the specific question that you would like an answer for please do it politely do it in a but just say I would like to know the answer to this question and then send me a copy and I'll publish it post it and let's see if we can get some answers to these things who's next we are not allowed to use rooms here because we're a political group are the constitutionalists a political group

*** That is a good question. write to the board and start putting things in writing. Whenever you have a question for the board, put it in writing and send it to them and expect that they won't answer your question be sure you send your question to Joe we must keep a paper trail because if they've donut interest we have proof of our paper trail of the questions we've asked and received no response to make sure somebody has a copy okay now if there's anybody here tonight that has not yet given us campaign their signature I've got sheets here 14 of them and if you would take some and ask your neighbors to sign that would be incredibly helpful and I also have the what's it says at the top quick response team sign up if you would join with us in that sure would appreciate it it is not mandatory but it is every it just gives us an additional way to have more contact with you and we won't abuse it and we don't give your email address to anybody else but we do want to be able to publish or privately among ourselves the names of people who have signed they're given their signature it is on a lot of different sheets of paper but we'll just publish a list B here's a list of the names of people so far who have signed their signature to we the people okay who else would like to speak I think we're drawing here come on up it is ready I thank you all for operating and coming up to speak to the microphone cause otherwise people can't hear us what I wanted to say we talked about the phones and the wrong numbers didn't think I get bobble three ten or twelve calls a day I got one today from Tobias Nebraska I am from Nebraska I've never heard of Tobias

but what I am saying is when you call leave a message because I don't call anybody Tobias Nebraska some policemen want me now I know about everything so obviously it is a mobile but it might be somebody who actually lives in Tobias leave a message very good excellent point one more thing we haven't talked about tonight but a number of people have recommended that we consider taking some legal action and basically our position on that has has been as a group of consensus that we just need to get a lot more signatures before we initiate that on the other hand it might be a possibility that we could contact a lawyer to ask if the lawyer if it would be fruitful to send a letter to the board of directors asking for clarification underscoring the fact that we are as a group affirming we are not in any way shape or form a political group and asking politely for the board to reconsider our request to be eligible to meet in the in the facilities like the other group here so the idea would be if anybody knows of attorney we've had several suggested already we might consider sending a letter of inquiry to the attorneys to ask for their response to that what they were charged to write a letter and if they think it would be of any it would be a purposeful would accomplish anything again not threatening legal action just to ask that question it is a good idea just from the standpoint Marsh is saying that it might be a good to do this to find out if it is feasible so there again I will address this in an e-mail the one thing that I'll still be able to do for KFA.

I will stay involved and help, but I am a clerk typist for the group and I will help putting together the agenda and I'll help doing the email communication for our group but I really need other people to step up and take the take the job of being moderators for these meetings before I fall down anybody else I write my nickname is Dutch but I was at that meeting when they said we were to leave the room and we all citizens of this community and yet there is a group that tells us we cannot meet in this building I don't understand why they have the authority to shove us around I mean this is very puzzling to me I wait just a little as I would say beyond that I am just scared because they told me to stay in that room so like you said to get a tree is a good idea and yet I find it very sad that we have to go to that extreme do that so what would happen if I went in there anyway what would happen when we get arrested they locked it well then what would happen if we didn't pay our dues they foreclose on your house alright I think we are drawing to a close here I am going to be I have these two sign-up sheets if you've already signed up wonderful if you we don't have your signature yet please sign the yellow sheet if you would be willing to be on our k f8 council we hope everybody will sign up no obligation you can have your name taken off of that part of the list at any time and you'll still be part of the database so I am going to pass these around and other than that unless somebody says something urgent I think we'll is it all right picture yeah I do.
